Bean Baking Powder Biscuits

1 ½ cups bean flour (sifted)
½ cup oat bran
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cream of tartar
¼ to ½ tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. olive oil
⅔ to ¾ cup water
Mix dry ingredients. Add oil and water. Mix just until flour disappears. Drop by spoonfuls immediately onto sprayed baking sheet. Bake at 375° for 15-20 minutes, until bottom is golden brown. Makes one dozen biscuits.
 
Variation: Onion Biscuits
1 cup diced onion
2 cloves fresh minced garlic
Oil

Sauté onions and garlic in a small amount of oil until tender. While mixing biscuits, add onions. Mix thoroughly. Continue recipe as above.
